Ensemble's Storybook Theatre is pleased to present David and the Giant, one of Ensemble’s most popular shows for young audiences. Based on the legendary tale of a young boy who defeats Goliath, this fantastical adaptation tells the tale of a little Firefly who faces his fears and confronts the giant Praying Mantis.
Narrated by scientist Dr. Belinda B. Bittlebum, the children will also learn a thing or two about the real insect world along the way. In the tradition of Storybook Theatre, this is a story sure to delight and inform children of all ages.

With the belief that children's lives are transformed through theatre, we bring a unique vision to the performance of informative, entertaining, and original plays. We believe that theatre inspires young people to develop the tools of communication and creativity that engender a deep appreciation of the world.
Each year thousands of boys and girls experience the wonder of theatre, some for the very first time, through our Storybook productions. Bring your class on a field trip to our theatre, or let us bring the performance to your school.
